About the event

Whether on a stage, in a board room, or in a salary negotiation, speaking up isn't about courage or power posing. It's about conviction and the sureness that comes from a deep knowing of who you are and what you stand for. But for many folx who desire to speak up for themselves, their colleagues, and their communities, they aren't truly aware of the deeper reasons it matters to them and what drives them to do so. Grounding yourself in your purpose is foundational to standing in your power, especially in the face of oppression and injustice. In this workshop, we'll learn tools of emotional intelligence and explore personal stories to develop greater self-awareness of what happened to you. By acknowledging your experiences and naming your emotions, you'll start to understand your why and build up the confidence to speak up, stand up, and step up when it truly matters.
